A question for folks who feel avoidant about money A question for folks who feel avoidant about money: what do you get out of avoiding it? What's the benefit? Most frequently with clients I see: - avoiding shame, anger, frustration - resistance or blocks to figuring out what you want to do (if you had money) - not having to find the capacity to deal with it The thing is: money is power to solve certain problems, make decisions, and take on getting things you want... Avoiding these things is a sign of something much deeper going on. Being in our power to make choices about our lives is trained out of us, and down the line people can find themselves in avoidance of everything, even when they don't have to be, because it feels familiar to offload power and the practice of taking it back feels inaccessible. Everyday decisions about money are micro moments to practice awareness and active power.
